Malaysia: Malaysian academic suspended after criticising a decree
Abdul Aziz Bari, professor of constitutional law at the International Islamic University of Malaysia, was suspended from his position after criticizing a decree made by the Sultan of Selangor. He was later reinstated but remains under investigation in what appears to be a clear violation of academic freedom.
