Eritrean Students Die in Forced Labour Camps

Human Rights Watch has called for Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki’s government to allow the return of university students to their classes from the forced labour camps where 2,100 are now detained. A standoff between students at the University of Asmara, Eritrea’s only university, and the authorities has resulted in the government’s recent clampdown on civil society.
